Legend

Outdoor displays:  A fireworks display held outdoors where the minimum clearance distances are  calculated in accordance with Section 14 of the Queensland code of practice: Control of  outdoor fireworks displays (PDF, 1.3MB).

Close proximity:  A fireworks display held either indoors or outdoors. Typically held at rock  concerts, theatres, stages, sporting events or an event requiring pyrotechnic  effect in close proximity to the audience.

Special effects:  A visual or audible effect used for entertainment purposes, often produced to  create an illusion.
